I love to work with texture. I start my work with washes of color, working with the texture, and then let it lead me. This creates a mood that lets the viewer fill in the missing pieces that they might see or feel.
This often leads to the development of moody, abstract landscape paintings, which I leave to the viewer to discern shape and form within these abstracts. There is something of the real world recognizable in my paintings - a pleasure hopefully, for those who are not completely sold on the abstract or non-objective art form.
